This is our new House on Wheels!

We have had a funny week-end, Annie got us up before it was even light on Saturday morning and took us for a long walk in the dark and gave us our breakfast (so she hadn't completely lost her senses)

Then she went out and was gone for so long we thought she was never going to come back, we thought she had forgotten us....we were very miserable and when Bob went to bed we refused to go inside....we even refused our dinners, that is how bad it was.

Connor was getting really frightened and snuggled up close to me and kept making little whimpering sounds and I was trying hard not to do the same.

Then just when we were sure we had been abandoned she came home! She gave us such good cuddles and fed us our tea and made such a fuss of us that we were happy again, then when we went to bed Annie told us that we had a new house on wheels!

Of course we went to the window but she said 'No, it's not here yet but it will be soon'.

We are so excited and can hardly wait to see it!

Connors 1st Birthday!

On May 24th Connor turned 1 year old!

As it was a week night Connor and I shared a yummy tea of lamb shanks au naturale followed by Strawberry Cheesecake.

After that Connor spent the rest of the evening trying to decide which of his birthday presents to play with first.....

Well this year is going very slowly for us Whippets, Annie is working hard and still looking for a newer House on Wheels for us when we start our long slow lap or 3....we have not yet found anything we like that is just right for us all.

There is a vague possability we might buy a van that is like the one we have now but fit it out ourselves, that could work, or at least Connor and I think so, we could have a 'wizz track around the walls, faux fur on the bed and cushions and gold plated food and drink bowls!

We are probably going to delay our departure from Darwin on our big trip by 12 months and just take another holiday this year - but Connor and me, we just want to get out there, we love it on the road.

We have a beach day tomorrow followed by a double show for Connor ( I just go along as the cheer squad!)

Young Connor is growing up fast, he will be 1 on Monday!
